FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK:
If you picked up this edition of the newsletter, you probably expect this article to be about Easter. If that is your expectation, you are right. How can a Pastor not write about Easter; how can he or she not want to write about Easter? The Resurrection of Jesus defines our faith; without it, Jesus remains just a great teacher who turned out to be a dead martyr. We may think of the Resurrection of Jesus as the logical conclusion to such a great life; after all, don’t all Christians go to heaven? Such a misunderstanding of what the Resurrection is about completely misses the point. Jesus’ Resurrection was a totally unique event is the entirety of history.
