FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

As I write this article it is the week between “Ascension Sunday” and Pentecost. The following Sunday is Holy Trinity Sunday. After that, we enter what is referred to as “Ordinary Time.” We recognize it because the liturgical color is green, from 6 June through 24 October. “Ordinary time” refers to the fact that there are no major feasts or festivals during this period. From a Christian perspective, there is never anything “ordinary” (in the sense of plain and insignificant) about time and life. The world is full of the glory and splendor of God.
