From the Pastor’s Desk:
What, then, shall we say? That we are to remain in sin, in order that grace may increase? Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Or are you ignorant of the fact that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were crucified with him, therefore, through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, in this way we also might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection” (Romans 6.1-5; my translation). These powerful words of St. Paul affirm the reality that baptism is about new life – resurrection life. No life is lived out in one moment; it goes on and on.
